Booking A Stay
How do I search for booking availability and view rates?

We welcome all guests and graciously request a small amount of personal information be provided in our Guest Request Application.

The usage fee for non-family/related guests is $2,200 per night, regardless of the number of beds or guests.

There is a maximum overnight guest count for the facility of twenty adults due to available beds.

There are nine queen beds and two double beds available. The two double beds are in one bedroom.

Special situations may permit additional guests upon request.

Gratuity for the housekeepers is welcome.

A Credit Card will be kept on file for:

  • Booking and security deposit of $1000.
  • Incidental expenses.
Do you offer discounts, specials, or gift cards?

No, we are not currently able to offer these.

Are there age restrictions on renting the facility?

Yes, the booking person must be 25 years old or older, and must possess a current Driver’s License in on the 50 US States

How and when do I pay for my reservation?

After there has been a brief background check and the dates have been agreed

What will my credit card on file be charged for?
  • Booking and security deposit of $1000.
  • Incidental expenses.
When will I receive my reservation confirmation?

When do I sign the Guest Rental Agreement (GRA)?

After there has been a brief background check and the dates have been agreed.

Can I make changes to my reservation?

Possibly, based on discussions that would have to occur for a new agreement to be considered. After booking, you’ll receive contact information to use in such a case.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposit is forfeited if the event/stay is canceled closer than 45 days to the scheduled event/stay. Once your booking has been confirmed, you’ll receive contact information to use in the event of a cancelation.

What happens if the dates I reserved become unavailable?

A full refund of the deposit or any form of payment will either be credited for future stays or fully refunded.

Do you charge taxes on your rentals?

9%, as required by the state of VT.

What is the cleaning fee? When are the rooms and facility cleaned?

The cleaning fee is included in the rental fee and the spaces are cleaned after each guests stay.

If I’m a family member:

Submit the Guest Request Application and someone will make contact with you regarding Family Rates. You can specify your relationship to the family on the contact form.

How do I get directions to Mum & Pup’s Place?

GPS to 233 Depot Street, Hyde Park, VT.

What vehicle should I drive? Can I tow a trailer or RV to the facility?
  • There is not a need for 4WD to access the facility, so any vehicle is fine.
  • There may be space for a trailer. Please provide details in the Guest Request Application so we can confirm space availability prior to securing an event as a guest.
  • No motorized vehicles of any type or size are permitted inside the dwelling. None.
What should I do if inclement weather affects my reservation?
  • Press on. Inclement weather is native to New England and even more so to Vermont.
  • Contact us via phone or text on the contact information provided in your Guest Packet.
Checking In
What are your management hours and location?

Management is off-site but is available at any time.

Contact information for management by guests is provided in your Guest Packet, post booking.

What time is check-in and check-out?
  • Check In Time is 1:00 PM.
  • Check Out Time is 11:00 AM.
Can I request an early check-in/late check-out?

You are welcome to request altered Check In/Out times in your Guest Request Application.

Can I check in after hours?

Yes. Your Guest Packet will include information about how to access the electronic keyless locks at the facility.

Do you offer keyless entry?

Yes. There are electronic numerical coded keyless deadbolt locks on the doors which can be locked or unlocked remotely.

When will I receive the key to the facility?

A key is not necessary. There are electronic numerical coded keyless deadbolt locks on the doors which can be locked or unlocked remotely.

What procedures or resources are in place in case of an emergency?

Facility Alarm System allows for Fire Department, Police Department, and Safety Officials to be contacted.

911 as needed.

Do you have a hot tub or pool?

No, we do not.

Do you have game rooms?

No, we do not.

Do you have grills?

Yes. There are two LP Gas grills located on the south deck.

Do you have fireplaces or fire pits? Is firewood provided?
  • There are no fireplaces inside the facility.
  • There is a fire pit located outside in the lawn area, and fire wood is commonly on site. If not, the local stores do sell bundles of firewood.
Do you have boats or docks?

No, we do not.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, further information will be provided in your Guest Packet after booking.

Do you have streaming services, cable TV, or satellite?

Cable TV is provided on two televisions. One in the loft and one in the kitchen/dining room area.

What electronics are in the facility?
  • Alarm systems on every door/window, smoke/monoxide detectors.
  • Internet.
  • Two televisions.
House Rules
What are your safety rules and policies?
  • No smoking on the premises.
  • All of the common safety and courtesy rules of any home apply.
  • Keep watch over your children.
  • All persons on site are to behave as if Dad is watching.
Are swimming and fishing available and allowed?

There is a river that passes through the property. Swim or fish at your own risk.

Are you pet-friendly?

No pets or animals, including service creatures.

Are there any quiet hours?

As defined by the town.

Is smoking permitted?

Smoking is not allowed on the premises at any time, of any form. If this is not respected, there will be financial repercussions and the quests will not be invited back.

During Your Stay
Do you offer concierge or guest services?

Shuttle, Catering, and Guide Services are available but have to be requested prior to your stay via the Guest Request Application.

Will my mobile phone work at the facility? Is there a landline phone?

Cellular service in the facility is very strong and there is not a landline

What if I have a problem at the facility?

Contact management via the phone number provided in your Guest Packet

Could the property managers enter the facility to make repairs?

If necessary, and would announce themselves prior to entering.

Do I need to take out the trash at the facility?

Only if the barrels are overfull.
